ABOUT THERAPY

Psychotherapy can help you develop skills, and resources to address the emotions, situations, and relationships that bring you to therapy.  In a therapy session, therapeutic work is identified and a treatment plan is developed. Therapy varies according to the issues and needs brought by each client, and goals will be identified at your first session. Therapy also varies according to the training and education of the therapist you are working with.  Your therapist will provide more information about their methods, or you can read our therapist bios here to learn more.

HOW LONG IS EACH THERAPY SESSION?

Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes.

TYPE OF THERAPY OFFERED

Our Registered Psychotherapists work with people with a wide range of presenting issues and are trained to work with what each client brings to therapy to address. Our therapists each bring their training and experience to their therapy practice and practice from an 'integrative approach' which means that of the variety of modalities they are trained in they will use the types of therapy that will be a good match with both the client and the therapy concerns.  We offer therapy in many modalities (not limited to and including) Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sand Tray Worldplay, and more. Visit our therapist bios here for more details about our therapists, their training and experience, and their services.
