Susan Kim, MA, Registered Psychotherapist, (She/Her)
Susan works with adults using a broad range of modalities, including EMDR, through in-person and video conference sessions. She is an approved provider for Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and can accept clients with Medavie Blue Cross coverage.
We do best in relationships that feel connected and meaningful. When something is off - how we see ourselves, relate to others, or move through the world - it can leave us feeling stuck or out of balance. Therapy can help restore that sense of connection, strengthen your internal resources, and support real change.
You might choose to work with me if:
– you feel stuck in patterns that aren’t shifting
– your relationships feel strained or confusing
– you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or compulsive behaviours
– you want thoughtful, steady work that goes beyond surface-level coping
I work from an interpersonal, attachment, and developmental perspective, which means we look at both present-day challenges and the experiences that shaped them. Our work focuses on building insight, strengthening internal resources, and creating lasting change.
A strong therapeutic relationship is central to how I work. We begin by identifying what matters most to you and setting a clear direction for our work together.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I trained at Saint Paul University in Ottawa and have been in practice since 2007. I have extensive experience working with trauma and relational concerns, including over a decade at the Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma.
In addition to clinical work, I provide supervision to psychotherapy students and Registered Psychotherapists.
